This is fascinating to me, and new. Thank you. I am curious to know the role played by Leonard Cohen in contemporary Canadian poetry -- is it through his poems or his songs or both -- & also whether Canadian poets figure they are basically "North American" poets, just as "American" poets are?

Hi Victor,

A good start in helping answer your questions would be to read the essays in the book compiled and edited by Todd Swift and Jason Camlot, Language Acts: Anglo-Quebec Poetry, 1976 to the 21st century (Vehicule Press)
http://www.vehiculepress.com/titles/419.html

Jacket Magazine (34) also did a feature on Anglo-Quebec poets in 2007.
